At Ardent Legal Recruitment, we are continuing our pledge to support better mental health and wellbeing across the legal profession. Recently, we had the pleasure to speak to two senior HR professionals at Travers Smith about their approach to mental health.
A couple of years ago we worked with a candidate who is a trustee of the charity and we were keen to get involved. At that time we contributed to a school building project. Now that building is complete and the Ardent Centre of Excellence is in use by secondary students. We wanted to offer further support. Our new substantial donation has paid for over 300 text books across a range of subjects.
We are always mindful of the impact stress has on the mental health of those in the legal profession. Over the summer the Ardent team has trained in Mental Health First Aid. Tell us about your current leadership role? I don’t like to define myself as a leader, our business has a very egalitarian ethos. We work in a collaborative way to ensure that everyone has a responsibility for the growth and development of the business. Our business was set up five years ago, since this time, we have very much become seen as one of the go-to legal recruiters in London.
