As a senior legal recruiter, strategic advisor, and business leader at Ardent, Jane offers consultative support across the full career lifecycle for solicitors and partners. Her expertise includes salary benchmarking, market analysis, interview preparation, advising on career development, and drafting and reviewing business plans, including detailed assessments of likely followings, compensation modelling, and advising on partnership structuring across the private practice landscape.
Jane’s approach is deeply personal and highly strategic. She advises on everything from newly qualified placements to partner and team moves, including advising senior fee-earners about moves into consultancy positions and lateral partner moves to firms without mandatory retirement ages. Her ability to lead bespoke searches, headhunt with discretion, and build enduring relationships has earned her the trust of clients and candidates alike.
While she recruits across all practice areas, Jane has a specialist, and unrivalled focus on pensions recruitment, having originally qualified as a pension solicitor in 2007. She also brings significant experience in areas such as employment, incentives, tax, competition, corporate, finance, financial services, construction, and private wealth.
Jane is the sole owner of Ardent Legal Recruitment and has been instrumental in its growth, driving strategy, shaping culture, and supporting the business at every level. Her leadership is hands-on, strategic, and values-driven, with a clear focus on deliveringexceptional outcomes for both individuals and organisations.
Outside of work, Jane is usually found chasing after her two young boys, Max and Hugo. When she gets a moment to herself, she’s passionate about health, wellbeing, and discovering new places to explore with her family and friends.
