‘Tis the Season to be Grateful

When we reflect on what has been a difficult year for everyone, we at Ardent remind ourselves that we have reasons to be both grateful and optimistic.

This year, in place of our usual celebrations, we have made contributions to several charities that support people in the UK and overseas, who are continuing to struggle during this difficult period.

Whilst legal recruitment remains busy and there is an air of optimism for 2021, we are continuing to work from home, replacing early morning candidate meetings with on-line virtual ones. We have spent more time than ever catching up with our long-standing clients and have successfully developed new relationships through the wonders of the on-line world.

Ardent Legal Recruitment is delighted to be an early adopter of the Recruitment Agency Race Fairness Commitment a new initiative launched by five leading law firms (Ashurst, Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith Freehills, Slaughter and May, and Travers Smith).

Whilst we continue to support the legal private practice market make key hires during these challenging times, we are also keen to support our local communities and help those who need even more support than ever.

I don’t like to define myself as a leader, our business has a very egalitarian ethos. We work in a collaborative way to ensure that everyone has a responsibility for the growth and development of the business. Our business was set up five years ago, since this time, we have very much become seen as one of the go-to legal recruiters in London.

The Ardent team held its annual quiz earlier this week via Zoom – playing for the “money can’t buy” prize of getting the winner’s name engraved on the Ardent Shield for 2020. Try your hand at the “Law Firm / Lawyers” round

We are absolutely delighted to welcome Matt Parsons to the Ardent Legal Recruitment team. Matt joined us on Monday 14th September and will be a senior member of the business focusing on Associate and Partner level recruitment. He joins from another specialist legal recruitment agency.

I am immensely proud that Ardent Legal Recruitment is 5 years old today. Together with our team, Jane Gaunt and I have worked hard to make Ardent a recognisable brand and trusted advisor to our clients and candidates in the Legal Sector.

2020 may not have turned out to be the year we were all expecting but it has been a year that has made us all take stock of what we have achieved and how we want to live as we adjust to the ‘new normal’.
